Norton 10-Year Vertical Tasting and Dinner

TIME: Sparkling wine reception begins at 5:30 p.m.
WHAT: Our 25th annual Norton tasting and dinner begins with a sparkling wine and appetizer reception in the Apostle Cellar, then continues on to our pavilion for the 10-Year vertical Norton tasting. There you will have the opportunity to taste 10 vintages, side-by-side, with winemaker Dave Johnson. The tasting is followed by a three-course gourmet wine dinner. This evening you will also get the first chance to purchase some of the older Norton vintages.
WHERE: The sparkling wine and appetizer reception will be held in the Apostle Cellar followed by the tasting in the pavilion. The dinner will be served at Vintage Restaurant.
MENU: The sparkling wine reception will feature an assortment of appetizers, and the dinner will be a three-course gourmet dinner matched with Stone Hill's award-winning wines.

Smoked King Prawn Salad
Applewood-smoked king prawn served atop a bed of locally-grown kohlrabi and fresh apple slaw with a cayenne-spiced yogurt dressing and finished with candied pine nuts.
Wine served: 2010 DRY VIGNOLES
Entrée
Grilled Bison Tenderloin
Grilled bison tenderloin seasoned with ground porcini mushrooms finished with a fois gras mousse and cherry balsamic reduction; served alongside housemade spätzle with a creamy blue cheese sauce and fresh Spring vegetables.
Wine served: 2001 NORTON (from magnums)
Dessert
Spilled Milk
Playfully layered on amaretti cookie crumbles is a Frangelico-scented (hazelnut liqueur) silver white cake, draped in bourbon-laced bittersweet chocolate, topped with fresh whipped cream spilling from a chocolate demitasse cup.
Wine served: 2007 PORT
TICKETS: Reservations are required. Seating is limited to 126 people. Tickets are non-refundable and cancellations are not accepted. To make reservations please contact Victoria Browning at 800-909-9463 ext. 16.
COST: TBD. Credit cards will be charged approximately two weeks prior to the event, and, at that time, the tickets will be mailed along with the credit card receipt.
DRESS: Business casual (jackets and ties optional). The Apostle Cellar will be cool. Please bring a jacket.
RESTAURANT: Open for lunch only on Saturday. Sunday open for lunch and dinner.
