Group Tours - Hermann

Tour Group at HermannIf you're planning a group tour involving any age group or organization, Stone Hill Winery & Restaurant will make your job a little easier. Kay Schwinke, our in-house group coordinator, will assist you in planning a day at Stone Hill Winery and in historic Hermann, Missouri.

Group Winery Tours
We will start with a brief history of the winery and then continue into our cellars, which are the largest series of vaulted cellars in North America. At the conclusion of the tour, you will visit one of our historic tasting rooms for samples of award-winning wines and juices. Following your tasting, you'll have time to browse in our beautiful wine and gift shop. Our salesroom staff will even pack and load purchases onto your vehicle or bus. Stone Hill Winery is Missouri's oldest and most awarded winery and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1969.
Price: $2.50 per person

Group Meals 
Parties of 20 or more people will be served as a group in one of our dining rooms at the Vintage Restaurant. A $100 deposit is accepted at the time of making your reservations and is refundable with cancellation, in writing, at least 30 days prior. This deposit will be applied to your final bill. A confirmation will be sent to you. Groups order their lunch or dinner selection from a special group menu. We do require pre-selections of one entrée and one dessert. Children under 10 years old order off our Children's Menu and pre-selections are also required. Our kitchen staff, with prior notice, can address special dietary concerns. A guaranteed guest count is required 48 hours prior to the event. The group will be charged for the number of people guaranteed or the number that attend, whichever is higher. Any changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Please call for more information. We encourage tours to arrive at least one half hour prior to their reservation to give their guests an opportunity to use the restrooms and browse our spacious gift shop.

Sing along with Marilyn Loehnig's German folk music as you have lunch. A talented accordionist, Marilyn will be happy to play your favorite requests.

Historic Church Tours
Board your motorcoach to begin a guided narrated tour of Hermann with stops at St. Paul United Church of Christ and St. George Catholic Church where the pastors or a representative of the parish will tell you about the history of the church.

Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows
Tucked in the surrounding countryside on 40 acres, this Shrine is a spiritual refuge for many visitors. The Shrine Chapel, St. Martin's Church and unique grottos are all part of the beautiful landscape located six miles from Hermann. German School Museum
Step back in time as you visit Hermann's German School Museum. Used as an elementary school until 1955, the museum contains a large assortment of memorabilia from the early days of the town. Tour the German Heritage Room, Children's Room, and the Els Room, and view the school's clock tower mechanism.

Deutschheim State Historic Site
This state historic site captures the culture and heritage of the German people who migrated to Missouri in the mid-to-late 19th century. The guided tour showcases the site's two homes, built between 1840-1869, that reflect the varied architecture of this era. Also included in the tour is a period garden and a small half-timbered barn containing an exhibit of 19th century tools. Experience the daily life of German Americana 150 years ago.
