The successful team behind Stone Hill Winery!

One has only to consider the depth of our award-winning winemaking team to understand why Stone Hill Winery consistently remains in the forefront of the nation's wine industry. With more than 200 years of combined experience, winery owners Jim and Betty Held; their children, Jon, Patty, and Thomas; and senior winemaker Dave Johnson have dedicated their lives to producing and marketing world-class wines.

Success for the team has been as sweet as our Concord wine and as long-lived and hardy as our Norton. Accolades include such honors as Winemaker of the Year, Winegrower of the Year, Wine Growing Family of the Year and Missouri's Small Business of the Year. Awards continued with the Missouri Grape and Wine Program's Pioneer Award (for both Jim and Betty as well as winemaker Dave Johnson), five Missouri Governor's Cup awards and more than 3,200 wine awards since 1993.

And with the addition of winemaker Shaun Turnbull and enologist Tavis Harris to the team in 2005, future success for Stone Hill Winery smells just as sweet.
