Sausage Links and Sauerkraut
This simple, rustic dish is said by some to bring good luck if eaten on New Year's Day. Who are we to argue?
1 ½ - 2 lbs. link pork sausage
1 quart sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
½ cup water
1/4 cup Stone Hill Vidal Blanc or other dry white wine
Brown sausage in large skillet. Drain grease. Add sauerkraut, water and wine. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Serves six.
