Spicy Mediterranean Hummus
Spice up your chips and dip with this aromatic hummus dish complete with a little kick from cayenne pepper. Pairs well with our Golden Rhine or Vignoles.
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 15-ounce cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
1/2 cup roasted tahini
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon salt
chopped parsley (for garnish)
Combine garlic, chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, water, olive oil, cayenne and salt in a food processor. Process until smooth.
Transfer hummus to your favorite serving dish. Serve with vegetables, crackers or pita bread. Garnish with chopped parsley.
